Personal Statement

In an essay of 1,000 words or fewer, please describe your dental interest, goals, motivation, background and reasons for wanting to participate in this program.
Address some of the following questions:
1. Why have you decided to pursue a career in the dental profession?
2. What are your goals as a dental professional?
3. Explain your desire to participate in the Summer Enrichment Program and why you would be a good candidate for the program.
4. Describe your experience while shadowing staff at the dental office and/or clinic.
5. Discuss your commitment to providing care in underserved communities. This may include any personal life experiences you have had involving health issues in an underserved or disadvantaged area. Explain how these have motivated you to pursue a career in dentistry.
